All chalets are fully equipped: microwave, electric frying pan, toaster, crockery etc. Fireplace inside; braai outside,

No TV – bring games, books and good company. Type C and H3 (Type B) have 4 plate stove with oven, the rest

counter-top mini-oven with 2 plates. Bed linen is included but no towels - please bring your own towels.

Type A: H2 (1 double bed; 2 single beds) H11 (1 double bed; 1 single bed). Both open plan..
Type B: H1, H3, H4, H5, H6 (1 bedroom with double bed, 1 bedroom with 2 single beds, 2 beds in lounge area)
Type C: H7, H8, H9, H12, All different. More spacious and modern than Type B.

H7 sleeps 6 (1 bedroom double bed; 1 with 2 single; 2 single in lounge. Bathroom - bath & shower. Separate toilet.

H8 sleeps 6 (2 bedrooms double beds; 1 with 1 single; 1 single in lounge. Separate bath & shower. Separate toilet.

H9 sleeps 8. Double storey. Ground floor - 1 bedroom double bed; Seperate shower. Separate toilet.

Upstairs - 1 bedroom double bed; 1 with 4 single; Bathroom with bath, shower & toilet.

H12 sleeps 6 (2 bedrooms double beds; one en-suite with shower & toilet; Separate bath. Separate toilet.

On site caravans to rent (bed linen, hotplate, crockery, etc)

LD (Lyons Den): R 200 per night. 2 single beds with linen. Small bar fridge. Undercover stoep.

FR: R 275 per night (R325 with extra room added). Can sleep 4. 1 double bed and 2 single beds.

Caravan and camping sites - each site has a power point and braai area

Per night: R90 per site + R30 per adult + R15 per child (aged 4-17 years).
1 vehicle included - maximum 6 people per site. R30 per extra vehicle per night. .

Swallows Nest Hikers Hut

R40 per adult and R25 per child per night. No electricity – candles provided. Braai area; tap with fountain water.

Neat long-drop toilet. 500m from parking and ablutions with electricity. Two rooms with 6 beds each;

one room with two beds. Mattresses on beds but no bed-linen or blankets provided - bring bedding/sleeping bags/pillows.

Day visitors – If staying in Fouriesburg at a B&B or the Country Inn Hotel you are welcome to hike / swim at a small fee. Other visitors have limited access - rather first check with the office.

Lapa with kitchen – can only be booked by people staying in Meiringskloof

Tables, chairs, crockery etc for 30 people. Kitchen has fridge, freezer, stove, urn, hotplate, wash basin.

Cost for exclusive use of Lapa without kitchen, crockey etc: R 200 per day or R350 for weekend

Cost for use with kitchen, tablecloths, crockery, etc: R 360 per day (R 600 for weekend)

Note: Once a booking has been made, a booking deposit is required to confirm the booking

For chalets: Minimum amount per chalet. For camping sites: R150 (off peak) / R200 (peak)

Beautiful area for nature lovers – sandstone cliffs; indigenous plants; birds. Excellent hikes. Swimming pool. 4x4 routes
