Why go there? Didibeng
means "at the fountains". It is a 4x4 nature park situated in the What to do? Relax and enjoy. The 4x4 trails consist of a main circular route with detours to various viewpoints, scenic spots and hiking trails. Some are mild and some are wild! Black bass, carp and trout can be caught in the main dam. Fishing permits are available. Where to stay? OUHOUT CAMP provides basic camping facilities for a maksimum of 50 people. It has an enclosed lapa and an ablution block with showers, bath and flush toilets. There is no electricity but hot water can be prepared by using an old-fashioned "donkey". Entry before sunset is strongly advised! What will it cost? Rates for camping are R 85
per vehicle (once) plus R 35 per adult and R20 per child per day. A limited number of day visitors are allowed between 08h00 –
18h00 at a rate of R 85 per vehicle. Report at Meiringskloof for keys &
map. A refundable key deposit of R 40
is payable. If you want to visit without camping,
stay at Meiringskloof (same telephone number) and spend the day.
