What To Do
Put your feet up and relax – at your chalet / camp site, or next to the swimming pool Hike any of the excellent shorter hikes in the kloof itself, or hike up the sandstone cliffs to see the “tunnels” or simply enjoy the breath-taking views over the area and Maluti Mountains Activities in the area: horse riding, 4x4 trails, MTB trails, marbeling day course, wine & gin tasting, artisan cheeses, fishing – and lots more. Visit Clarens, Golden Gate or Lesotho (take a day trip to AfriSki to ski and snowboard in winter; or to the Katse Dam high up in the mountains via a steep and winding road)

Due to the high cliffs on both sides, cell phone reception is limited to certain areas in the kloof but can be picked up in the open area adjacent to the office Free WiFi is available at the office and at the following chalets H7, H8, H9, H12

11 self-catering sandstone chalets and 14 caravan / camping sites Long weekends and school holidays are very popular – best to book well in advance Meiringskloof can also be booked for exclusive use – this works well for weddings, family reunions or company weekends away as each family / group can stay in their own separate chalet and use the Lapa with or without the kitchen for some communal meals
